One other discovery we made at MWC in Barcelona this year is the Vuze camera – the world’s first consumer 3D 360 VR camera. Vuze camera is a product of Humaneyes Technologies, a Jerusalem based VR and computer vision company. Pre-launched last year at CES, this camera is the first of its kind and resolution at a consumer price point. Humaneyes set out to deliver a full immersive experience with quality matched by complex expensive (dozens of thousands of dollars) rigs, that so far only professionals could afford and use. The camera is not just small and inexpensive, it is also easy to use (point & shoot, plug & play) and the company’s proprietary stitching software cuts post production times by introducing video rate stitching (with a strong computer it can even get to half a minute of processing per minute of video!).
Our portfolio company Onestop.Live did a live coverage of Vuze with their CEO, Mr. Shahar Bin-Nun.
You can order a Vuze camera right now on their website: www.vuze.camera. The cameras, which were on pre-order up until recently, actually start shipping in a few days so now would be a good time to get one!
